Phew! What a crazy busy week this has been! 4 weddings and 2 engagement session in 10 days. I’m ready for a nap!! On Wednesday, I had the pleasure of meeting up with Ashley and Tim at Willowwood Arboretum in Far Hills, NJ for their engagement session!

Ashley and Tim met at Philadelphia University, (my school!) freshman year.  They had the same group of friends throughout and during their sophomore year, they began dating.  Ashley was in PA school at PhilaU and Tim was a landscape architecture major.  If you ask me, it’s a complete miracle they ever even got to see each other! I love college sweethearts (since I’m one!) so this story is extra special to me- especially since they went to PhilaU too and we graduated together!

Tim proposed in a place near and dear to their hearts- the Wissahickon area of Philly, near or school.  There’s tons of hiking trails back there and a creek so it’s a great place to hang out. They brought their dog Ginko on a hike with them and Tim popped the question with the whole little fam there (them and their puppy). Ashley jumped and screamed for joy (5 years in the making!) and Tim accidentally let go of Ginko! Whoops. He was excited too.

Today, the reside in the suburbs of Philly and work in the city and I’m so glad they decided to come up to Willowwood! We had so much fun exploring the gardens- there are a LOT of gardens and I always love finding new places to shoot there. There’s a little bit of everything there- gardens, cottages, old homes, greenhouses, barns, fields, flowers. It’s such a beautiful place and I’m so thankful that after our fourth try we got all our schedules to line up and the weather to cooperate! This is one of my favorite session to date and I am just swooning over the light at the end of this session. EEK!

Ashley and Tim, thank you for laughing at all my bad jokes, putting up with the silly things I tell you to do, and trusting me with these precious memories! I can’t wait to see you guys next year for your wedding!! Enjoy!
