Hi! I'm Laura!

I’m a wedding and brand photographer for creative and adventurous hearts and and your resident work-life balance aficionado. I’m so glad you’re here!
My favorite thing in life is sitting out by my fire-pit with a glass of Riesling and a s’more in hand with friends and family surrounding me. I'm rarely ever found without a warm blanket wrapped around me, and If my wallet didn't frown upon it, I’d probably buy everything in Anthropologie Home and Free People.

Phew! What a crazy busy week this has been! Not quite done yet but by the end of this week and a half, I’ll have shot 4 weddings and 6 engagement session in 10 days. I’m ready for a nap!! On Monday, I had the pleasure of meeting up with Jess and Doug at Doug’s Parents house in Sherman CT for their rustic fall engagement session!  The house is on a private lake and the entrance to the property is absolutely STUNNING.

Jess and Doug met at Fairfield University, senior year.  They were both walking out of a bar one-night senior year and hit it off. While it remained casual for a few months because graduation was upon them and they thought for sure they’d be going separate ways, something changed in those months that made them never want to part.  Their relationship became serious fairly quickly after realizing they were, in fact, in love with each other and decided they were in it for the long haul.  I love college sweethearts (since I’m one!) so this story is extra special to me!

Doug proposed this past summer on his parent’s property in Sherman Connecticut.  They had just finished putting the dock in the water in time for Doug’s plan to take both their families up to the house for the weekend to propose.  He took her out on the dock on the lake and popped the question!

Today, they reside in Stamford CT where Jess works in Marketing and Doug works in finance.  Together they love spending time with their friends and family, doing Crossfit and just enjoying each other’s company.  We had so much fun exploring the lake and the beautiful road leading to the property where fall was in abundance.  After these first two locations, we drove up to Doug’s grandparent’s farm and took a few pictures at the barn and on the property! This was seriously a dream!!
Jess and Doug, thank you for putting up with the silly things I tell you to do, and trusting me with these precious memories! I can’t wait to see you guys next year for your Hamilton Farm Golf Club wedding and I absolutely loved having dinner with you after!! Enjoy!
