Hi! I'm Laura!

I’m a wedding and brand photographer for creative and adventurous hearts and and your resident work-life balance aficionado. I’m so glad you’re here!
My favorite thing in life is sitting out by my fire-pit with a glass of Riesling and a s’more in hand with friends and family surrounding me. I'm rarely ever found without a warm blanket wrapped around me, and If my wallet didn't frown upon it, I’d probably buy everything in Anthropologie Home and Free People.

This weekend at had the utmost honor of photographing Kaylin and John’s wedding day and start to forever at Hamilton Farm Golf Club. It was quite possibly, the most beautiful wedding I’ve ever had the pleasure of being a part of. Kaylin and John met during their senior year at John Hopkins University. Kaylin was pre-med and John studied economics. As they call it, it was Senior “Disorientation week.” It was a night downtown to celebrate the beginning of their senior year. There may have been some liquid courage involved but Kaylin made the first move! She was won over by John’s awesome dance moves and after their first date seeing Benjamin Button (where the fire alarm got pulled!) the were inseperable.

To this day, their friends and family describe them as the two happiest people you’ll ever meet. I remember that quite well from their engagement session that you just couldn’t wipe the smiles off their faces when they were around each other. When Kaylin walked up and grabbed John’s hands for their first look, John’s smile could have lit up a room.  It was such a sweet moment under the age old ivy growing up the mansion walls.

Kaylin wore a Mori Lee gown and did her own make-up. Her beauty resembled that of the classics: Grace Kelly, Audrey Hepburn. She has a timeless beauty that is nothing short of stunning. Her mother, her bridal party, and myself included were all in tears when she spun around to show us her dress for the first time. She wrote a letter to John and read her letter from him, again, in the most old world and elegant fashion. These are some of my favorite pictures!

The day was hot, a scorching 92 degrees. I give them credit for walking around in a Tux and Gown all day!! The ceremony was held on the patio overlooking the golf course which was followed by Cocktail Hour on the lawn. The guests enjoyed a spread of seafood and meats and then gathered in the tent for the reception. And let me tell you guys, Blue Jasmine Floral Design and Hamilton Farm really outdid themselves. The flowers ALL day were absolutely stunning and the reception space was the most beautiful you could imagine. A combination of lavender, light pinks and greenery adorned the tables, the chandeliers and the cake and everything was PERFECT! The band played Uptown Funk to get the party started and even joined in on the dance floor! The party was going all night and even John’s grandma showed off her dance moves a few times!! All in all, the day was truly spectacular, and one that I would so willingly shoot over and over and over again.

Kaylin and John, you two are some of the happiest people I’ve ever met and truly, your smiles and love for each other could light up a room. I’m so glad I could be there for your start to forever. I’m honored I got to be a part of this day and can’t wait to see what your next chapters hold.
