Lauren and Patrick met at a birthday party in June of 2013. Patrick saw Lauren and a friend standing by the horseshoe pit and proceeded to ask her if she wanted to play. She accepted and they ended up talking and hanging out the entire rest of the evening.
On their first date they went to have sushi and Patrick proceeded to spill soy sauce all over his shirt within the first two minutes! He joked that he needed to practice with chopsticks at home so he grabbed an unopened set of chopsticks to take home with him. Little did Lauren know that eventually those chopsticks would be an integral part of their engagement story!
Patrick gave Lauren a Valentines day card and inside he wrote all of the dates of their “firsts” and taped the unopened chopsticks to the card! He knew that one day he would give them to her on the same day that he proposed. After he popped the question he recreated their first date! Such a sweet way to mark the beginning of these two lovebirds story!
Lauren, Patrick and I had a fantastic time capturing these images in the sunflower field at Liberty Farm. They both love baseball (although they are fans of opposite teams…) and their horseshoe props were a perfect way to commemorate how they first met.
They will be getting married at Hanover Manor in July of 2016 and I am beyond excited for their big day!! Cheers you guys- thank you for trusting me with these special moments in your life! <3
