I may sound like a broken record here, but when my couples ask me to photograph their other life milestones, I literally get OVERJOYED. The reason I love photography so much is because I get to capture moments in time of life’s major milestones that will live on for generations. The engagement session is on of the first major milestones as a couple, followed by the wedding day. Then, of course, if you decide to start a family, getting pregnant for the first time becomes a huge milestone, followed by the birth of your sweet bundle(s) of joy and then the many milestones after of your kids growing up and your growing family.
And I am so insanely honored that I got to capture every one of these milestones with Samantha and David. Sam reached out to me early on in her pregnancy to book a maternity, newborn and family shoot with my 1 year collection. When she told me she was having twin boys, I knew I’d have to get out of my comfort zone and learn everything I could before the newborn session. This was my first twin newborn session and I was so scared leading up to it that it would be difficult. But these two cuties ROCKED THEIR SESSION and were so amazing the whole time!! In fact, three hours later, I didn’t want to leave because they were just so dang cute!
Benjamin John Mele and Jacob William Mele made their debut into the world on May 21, 2020 when their amazing mama delivered them early at 35 weeks! Benjamin came in at 5 lbs. 4 oz. and Jacob came in at 5 lbs. 6 oz. of PURE JOY! For their session, we did a variety of outfit changes and each one was cuter than the last. I must have said “OH MY GOSH ARE YOU KIDDING?” at least 100 times throughout the session. They were ADORABLE and these two hugging each other was just about more than my heart could handle.
I cannot wait to watch them grow up and document more life milestone’s for this family! What an honor that this was my 4th session with Sam and David – I can’t wait for the 5th!!
Sam and David – you two are already such amazing and loving and proud parents. I can’t wait to watch your boys grow and be there to document it all!
