I am still on a high from Allie and Sean’s wedding. The love, the friendships, the happiness and support that surrounded their marriage–It was all incredible. Overwhelmingly touching in fact. Sean and Allie met at the “Firstie Club” on West Point’s campus and this is where their love story continued, getting married in the Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church with a reception to follow at the Thayer Hotel. Every moment of the day was beautifully planned out and personal.. let’s see it, shall we?
I honestly still can’t get over how STUNNING Allie looked, I think we all teared up a bit when she put that dress on. It was a Cinderella moment. And then of course… we can’t forget about how handsome Sean looked! With the best group of guys to help him out!
When I first met Sean during our engagement session I knew he brought out the best in Allie, whom I have known since high school. They were best friends and you could see the love they had for each other every time their eyes met. When I asked them, separately, what they liked most about the other this was their response:
“She’s beautiful, intelligent, athletic, loving, caring, supportive, and that we share so many hobbies. I couldn’t be any happier that she is my best friend.”
“He is so smart, so handsome, athletic, loves me so much, treats me like an angel, and is always there for me. He literally is my best friend in the entire world and all my prayers were answered when he walked into my life 3.5 years ago.”
See that key word there? Best friend. When asked what they were most excited for on the wedding day they responded with a unanimous “Marrying my best friend.. duh?” This is what it’s all about people. Finding your best friend, sharing your dreams with them, seeking adventures and developing your passions, and that is exactly what Allie and Sean’s relationship has done. I’m so excited to see their love continue to grow!
And speaking of friends, they are surrounded by the best group of friends and family a couple could ask for. I had an absolute blast with you guys!
The reception was held at the Thayer Hotel, a beautiful, historic hotel with an incredible backdrop to the river. I can’t wait to shoot more weddings here! The possibilities are endless and the staff there is absolutely incredible!
The day was filled with beautiful Tiffany Blue details, and military blessings.
We took a moment to remember the “Missing Man” when Cary Hooper gave a reading at the reception. It was a beautiful moment.
Allie and Sean made this day special for everyone and I’m so thankful for the vendor team that made such an incredible day possible as well!
