It’s always an honor when people from High School and College contact me about working with them. I still get shocked every time someone says “I see your pictures on Facebook all the time and I love them!” Sometimes I just can’t believe that people actually follow my work! It’s awesome! This past week was one of those scenarios when I got to photograph Amanda and Rob’s Engagement session. I went to high school with Amanda and probably haven’t seen her since graduation so it was so nice seeing her again and catching up!
We start our session at Warwick Valley Winery where Amanda and Rob frequent on the weekends. I LOVE going to this winery and do so quite often so this was so fun for me too! We started with some wine and then went up in the orchard with their puppy, Reiley. The cutest Husky ever!
They met in college freshman year. Their dorms were next to each other and a year into being great friends their relationship started to kindle. Six years later, after months of Amanda begging Rob to take her to the Brooklyn Bridge to walk across, he finally gave in with a plan in mind. Shortly after getting onto the main part of the bridge he got down on one knee and asked Amanda to spend the rest of his life with him!!
So naturally, we had to go to the Brooklyn Bridge for Part 2 of their session!! We had to wait a LONG time in between every shot so it was pretty tricky up there but the lighting and the view was amazing! I’ve never been there so it was pretty cool to go + Grimaldi’s pizza afterwards was quite the treat!
Amanda and Rob, it was a blast drinking wine, eating pizza, exploring the orchards and venturing to Brooklyn with you. I wish you a lifetime of happiness and so much love on this next adventure!
ANDDDDD then a major shift over to the Brooklyn Bridge!
