This mountaintop engagement session is one for the books. When your couple tells you they want to do an Oktoberfest themed engagement session with their beer steins from Europe at one of your favorite places to shoot, Bear Mountain, you happily oblige.

Kaitlin and Chris met by chance, on the streets in New Orleans, and somehow ended up together all the way here in NJ! They are, without a doubt, the definition of opposites attract. And! It. Works. Perfectly. Together they adventure all over the world (I could talk about their amazing travels for hours) and I know they’re going to have an incredibly adventurous life together!

We met down by the lake where Kaitlin and Chris enjoyed my all time FAVORITE beer, Schneider Weisse. They even brought one for me! How did they know?! Cause they’re the best. This was special to me, too, because Scott and I (okay mostly him) collected beer glasses and steins through our European travels as well. Schneider Weisse was our favorite beer in the alps!

After our mini picnic we ventured to the top of the mountain and hiked to my favorite secret place that has the most incredible views and the most unbelievable sunsets! Every time I come to this spot my breath is taken away. It is such a beautiful site watching the sun fall behind the mountain range up there. ESPECIALLY in October, the skies are just magic.

We got lost on the way back to the top of the mountain from our secret spot, so luckily we recognized the wrong tree markings, otherwise maybe we would have been bear meat on Bear Mountain! Phew!
