This weekend was an absolute DREAM! Not only did I get to witness a beautiful marriage between two friends but I also got to document all the beautiful moments as they unfolded. Christian and Janine’s Full Moon Resort Wedding was one for the books! This place is GORGEOUS!

Four years ago, when Scott and I studied abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark, we met Christian. He lived down the hall from Scott and was the first Dane that we met when we arrived to our new life in Denmark. He immediately helped Scott grocery shop (since everything was in Danish) and we all became quick friends. From dance parties in the Kollegium (Danish dorm buildings) to studying Danish to cooking family dinners, we became super close and were so thankful to have made a great friend in Denmark.

Towards the end of our semester, Christian left to go to the US and pursue a PhD at Carnegie Mellon. All his friends came to Copenhagen for a going away part in our common kitchen and he was off to new adventures in America.

Not shortly after he spent Thanksgiving with my family we learned of a new girl in his life, Janine. It seemed in an instant, he was swept off his feet and when we attended his birthday party in NYC, we knew she was special when she went to great lengths to make him feel at home for his first birthday away from home. Danish flags and cookies, a Danish restaurant and a Viking hat completed the night and we knew there was something truly special here.

Not long after, I found out they got engaged and I could not have been happier! It is clear to everyone how in love they are with one another. They compliment each other perfectly and I truly believe they were made for each other. I am so thankful I got to a part of this day and spend it with their wonderful friends and family!

Christian and Janine, Scott and I are so thrilled for you and so happy we got to be there to celebrate with you both! We wish you a lifetime of Shakespeare, long math problems, lots of coffee, long adventures, warm embraces, and so much happiness. Congratulations you guys!

They got ready together in their Cabin and practiced their first dance as soon as she got her dress on. It was so cute!Janine wore Christian’s grandmother’s bracelet so proudly.

This venue is amazing! Full Moon Resort is in the valley of the Catskill mountains and the ceremony was held just along the creek. We were surrounded by blue sky and mountains and it was breathtaking!

Ah this veiew! I can’t imagine how awesome it is in the summer!

What an incredible day and setting for a wedding!Love how the accidental mismatched attire work out! Janine and Christian walked into the ceremony together, hand in hand and began the marriage already as one. They read their own vows and they were truly beautiful!
Christian’s family came all the way from Denmark to celebrate with them! THEY’RE MARRIED!!
And then they LITERALLY walked off into the sunset =)
