10 years in the making. That’s about how long these two have been together. To say I’m thankful and honored that I got to be a part of this incredible day would be a huge understatement. Jamie and JT’s wedding at Crystal Springs Golf Resort and Grand Cascades Lodge this weekend was everything anyone could have hoped for. JT has been friends with Scott for well over half their lives, which means Jamie has been in the picture almost just as long. So this wedding day was extra special for me.
Jamie and JT met when they were kids. Growing up in Westwood means you basically know everyone, and you all stay friends forever. That’s just how it works! It wasn’t until Sophomore year in high school, sitting next to each other in class passing notes that the spark of a relationship was born. And according to them both, this note passing in class was when they knew.
Their first date was Dinner at Hanami and their first kiss was at a house party in 10th grade. It was at this house, out on the sidewalk that JT brought Jamie to propose, 10 years later. They endured all the ups and downs high school brought, went off to separate colleges and came out the other side stronger and more in love than ever.
These two LOVE to laugh together. And in general, you constantly see them laughing, although a lot may joke that JT never shows emotion, he’s good for a great laugh all the time.
The day start in Grand Cascades Lodge where they got ready with their wedding party. They exchanged gifts, and JT threw it back to the first gift he ever got her- a Teddy Bear with a bracelet around it. The first time was a teddy bear with a necklace, so this really brought their story full circle.
The ceremony was held outside in front of the arbor as the sun set and lit up the sky a beautiful golden color. Their good friend Pete officiated the ceremony and the ALL the guests were laughing constantly. It was a ceremony that was so true and near and dear to their relationship and I couldn’t picture it any other way. Not to mention, nearly every person at the wedding was from Westwood/ Twp of Washington.
After the ceremony, we went out onto the golf course for portraits and I just about died with this light. I mean, SERIOUSLY?!?! We took family and wedding party pictures by the arbor and all day long I was just in awe of how beautiful everything and everyone looked. It was such a special day.
The reception was held in the Grand Ballroom in the Clubhouse at Crystal Springs and the party never stopped. I got to double as a guest and a photographer so I changed halfway there and put my dancing shoes on. It was the party of the year and the Westwood reunion of a lifetime and I couldn’t be happier to have been a part of it.
Jamie and JT, I couldn’t be happier that you have found your soul mate in one another and I’m so excited for everything to come for the two of you. I can’t wait to continue being a part of your life and adventures and wish you all the happiness in the world.
Thank you to these incredible vendors who made the day possible!
