You can’t rain on this parade. On Saturday, Kellie and Jeremiah’s wedding at Mountain Springs Lake Resort in Reeders, PA was one for the books. I had been looking forward to this day ever since they first inquired. Kellie and Jeremiah are alumni of Philadelphia University as well and any venue that has the word Mountain and Lake all in the name is good in my book!
Kellie and Jeremiah met as architecture students at Philadelphia University. The thing about being an architecture student is you get to know your fellow peers really quickly and really well because you pretty much spend every waking moment in the design studio with them. This was true for Kellie and Jeremiah and after breaking through her shy personality that Jeremiah always thought was cute, they became quickly attached.
During their fourth year, they studied abroad together in Rome where, undoubtedly, their relationship became even more incredible. I mean how can it not when you’re spending a semester in Italy together!?!
Jeremiah had the proposal planned for their trim to Ireland at the Cliffs of Moher before they even went abroad. So naturally, Kellie’s parents and sister were having a difficult time back home wondering WHEN THE HECK they’d be going to Ireland.
When the got to the Cliffs of Moher, Jeremiah got down on one knee to an absolutely shocked Kellie who immediately said yes!!
They carried their love for travel into the theme of their wedding. Every table had a picture from one of their travels, and their guest book was a canvas picture of the Cliff’s of Moher. They had a globe and all of their table cards had a map on them. I LOVED it! Because if you know me you know I live to travel. Everywhere. And the Cliff’s of Moher is one of my favorite places!
When I got to the venue, the girls were getting hair and make up done at the Spa on site and the guys were in the main building. When we were all ready, we drove up to the lake for their first look and everytime I look at these pictures I start crying!! Jeremiah was speechless when he turned around and saw Kellie for the first time and I have to say I was too! Their familes and wedding party met us by the lake for all the pictures and were serious troopers in the wind and cold and RAIN. So seriously, rain was not going to ruin this parade. Kellie and Jeremiah trooped through almost 2 hours of pictures and it was so windy that my camera bag started blowing away with the umbrella!! It was nuts!!
Because of the rain, we had to move the ceremony inside. They read beautiful vows they wrote themselves and then we went back out for portraits during the cocktail hour. The reception was so much fun with a packed dance floor the whole time and their first dance was so beautifully choreographed I cried. I was so sad to see this day end but was thrilled we got to go out with Sparklers!!
Kellie and Jeremiah, I am so thrilled I got to be there to celebrate this new adventure with you both. Your day was incredible from beginning to end and I’m so thankful I got to be there to document it. I wish you a lifetime of love and happiness!! I can’t wait to see you again!
Thank you to these incredible vendors who made the day possible! And to my incredible second shooter Cinnamon! I don’t know what I’d do without you this year! <3
