“Should I close my business?

This is the question one of ladies in my mastermind group (who’s also dear friend) asked us this year. You can imagine how scary it is to even let those words come out of your mouth! But because she knows that our mastermind group is a safe and judgement free zone, she came to us with this question before she asked anyone else.

While we were all obviously shocked (closing your business is a big deal and none of us saw this coming) we didn’t let the shock factor affect our intent listening and logical thinking. We let her fully explain how she felt, what was going on, why she wanted to close up, and what her plan was for what to do next. Once she finished, each and every one of us gave our input. We first let her know that we were there for her no matter what, then listed out the pros and cons of what she was doing to give her a new perspective, and ultimately told her she looked so much happier when just talking about closing up shop! (which is exactly what she ended up doing to start a new venture)

If you’re ever faced with a big decision like this, you shouldn’t have to go through it alone. You should have the support of likeminded ladies who understand exactly where you are and who know you well enough to help you make the best decision for yourself. Aka a mastermind group!”
