Let me tell you. Finding a love like Katie and Zack is rare and difficult, but I guarantee if you find it you’ll be happy every day of your life. From the second we spoke I knew they were a perfect fit with Laura Lee Photography. They were fun-loving, silly, passionate about each other, affectionate, goofy, kind, smart, and we instantly connected. It felt like a lifetime until our engagement session was going to happen and when the holidays were about to hit I was SO excited because that meant our session was coming up!

Katie and Zack love to read. Both of them told me how much they enjoyed reading together on the couch and being cozy, especially during winter months under a warm blanket with some hot cocoa and the Christmas spirit. After talking about what they wanted to do for their engagement session it seemed only fitting to include books, and a Christmas Tree Farm!!

The first shot of the day (which they didn’t even know I was taking) had to be one of my absolute favorites! It was a great indication of what was to come for the session. I have never seen two people get lost in each other so easily. It was so beautiful to watch them interact and see their love unfold before me. Every second of the afternoon was filled with joy, laughter, and so much love! I am so giddy just looking at these and I am so excited to share!

Because no winter session would be complete without hot chocolate.

One of my favorite things about my interaction with them so far is hearing how they talk about each other. They have about a zillion and one postiive things to say about each other and half of it makes me cry just reading it! I’ll spare you the other zillion but I love what Zack says about Katie:

“I love and appreciate every aspect of her. She’s one of the hardest workers I know, and that’s saying something. She’s always patient with me, and she’s so kind and caring all the time. She’s absolutely brilliant, and it’s a wonderful feeling to be in a relationship with someone who’s smarter than you. She’s always making me laugh, and she’s one of the very few people who think my dumb jokes are funny. If I had to pick one word to describe her, it’d be reliable.”

And it’s clear she reciprocates:

“I love his heart. I love that he’s the most compassionate, thoughtful good-hearted person I know. He’s such a sweetheart to everyone, he’s so humble; he  never gives himself any credit. He constantly does things for people without expecting anything in return. I love that he’s the one I want to spend the rest of my life with because I couldn’t imagine it with anyone else!”

And then they danced, just like the grocery store aisles, the living room, and everywhere in between. Check out this ring! Blue diamond!

They met in high school but didn’t talk until years later because they both thought each other were out of their league! Funny how things turn out.

Katie and Zack, even though our meetings thus far have been brief, I couldn’t dream up a better half for either of you.
