Oh October. If you’ve been reading the blog you know there have been shoots left and right these past few days/weeks. But what I love the MOST about October is the skies. October skies are seriously insane and I can’t wait til you see the golden light we got at the end of this session. Earlier this week I got to meet up with Samantha and David for their Warwick NY Engagement session at Pennings Orchard and Pennings Cidery. Samantha and David met through friends at Ramapo college and while remaining friends for years, they started to gravitate towards each other for more.

They had their first date at the Warwick Drive In and grabbed a drink at Pennings Farmers Market across the street before hand. If you know me, these are two of my absolute favorite places to go. The drive-in is my favorite movie spot of the summer and the Cidery and Pennings Farm is where Scott and I love to hang out every weekend!!

We met up to go in the Orchard first and immediately after meeting them I knew we were going to have a great time. Together, they laughed and smiled the ENTIRE time and were sweet as can be together. They both love how caring the other one is for them and for everyone around them. David said Sam lights up every room she walks into with her personality and her smile and I’d have to say the same! She lit up this whole shoot with that smile!!

On the other hand, Sam loves how David genuinely cares for every person in his life. She said she feels lucky to be one of those people and you can just feel that aura from him. On the phone when we first spoke, and throughout the whole session you could tell that both of them were sch genuinely caring people!

After we strolled and picnicked in the orchard we went up to the cidery! (My favorite place ever!) The owner didn’t mind us taking a picture or two in the field when I mentioned I hung out here every single weekend and he even shared the new Pumpkin Cider they were making with us as a celebratory drink for Sam and Dave!!

We were graced with the most beautiful sunset and golden light I’ve ever seen in NJ at the end of our session and you could have just pushed me over I was swooning so much!!

We ended with cider in hand and a happy heart and I am just so excited to document these two on their wedding day at the Tide’s Estate next November. Gatsby 1920’s glam wedding here we come!!
