You know when what you’re looking for is right in front of your nose? Well, that was the case with Janine and Sean! They’ve known each other nearly their whole lives, but took a bit of a detour to get where we are today! Janine said in our session that in her 20’s she learned all her life lessons. In her 30’s she found herself, and in her 40’s now, she’s ready to spend it with someone forever, and that someone is Sean.

They eagerly got out of the car at Skylands Manor and proclaimed, “Guess what?! It’s National Geek Day!!” You’ll find out in a second with these pictures but these two are huge geeks and I love it! The car was filled to the brim with Harry Potter signs, trinkets, T-Shirts and wands amongst their NJ Devils Jerseys and hockey sticks. This was going to be a session like no other. A session that tells their story- every part of it. It tells their loving side and their goofy side, the sides that will never grow up and the “I’ll love you til we’re 100” side.

We laughed the entire time. And I always say it, but what more could I ask for? I was so honored to get to spend my [first] National Geek Day with Janine and Sean!

We started out by this little cottage that slightly feels like it could resemble Hagrid’s hut. I mean how cute is it?! They had a wand fight, or whatever you wanna call it [ha!] and then got into their Devil’s gear for a hockey face off! These two made it very clear that this session was going to be all about FUN. So without further ado, look how much fun we had!

Janine’s friend hand painted these signs and I think they came out so awesome!!

Janine and Sean, I can’t wait for your geeky wedding in October! You made this session so personal and so fun and I’m so glad you two found what’s been right under your nose this whole time! I’m so happy for you and for this next adventure!
