Jenn and Nick’s Vernon NJ Engagement session simply makes me happy.  I always get excited when I get to see people I went to high school with now that we’re (a little more grown up!) and I’m always honored when they ask me to photograph their love story.  I met up with Jenn and Nick on the Appalachian Trail that runs through Vernon and they showed up dressed in a beautiful classic style.  We were to be accompanied by their dogs in the second half of the session but for the first half, I am super proud of these two for hiking in dress shoes!

 

Jenn and Nick both went to high school with me at Vernon Township High school so in only made sense to have a Vernon NJ Engagement session too! They started dating in our later years there.  I played soccer with Jenn ever since we were little so it was a treat getting to see her with the love of her life!  During an extra romantic gym class (kidding!) Nick asked Jenn to be his girlfriend and the rest was history!

 

About 8 years and a million laughs later, Nick asked Jenn to spend the rest of his life with him.  They now share two pups and are getting married in fall at the Stroudsmoor Country Inn!

 

During our session, in the middle of winter, I’m not quite sure how they both endured the cold but I’m proud of them for doing it! We explored the evergreens on the side of the Appalachian and were greeted with lots of mud and swampy areas.  Not the best thing to walk through in flats and dress shoes but they were troopers!  After the first half, the pups came and we did our best to cuddle up with them and get them to pay attention.  Luckily, we got a few shots with everyone looking!!

Jenn and Nick, I am so happy for you both! I always am over the moon to see two high school sweethearts tie the knot and I’m glad you two are one of the few.  Thank you for allowing me the honor of capturing your love!
