There are so many wonderful things I can say about Veronica and Nolan but if I had to sum it up it would be that they are both absolute SWEETHEARTS. Sorry Nolan, I know you’re a softie 😉 .. Seriously though, Veronica and Nolan attended the first wedding I EVER did (Thanks Brian and Catia) and then a few weeks later asked if I’d do theirs. I was floored. Thrilled. Excited. Giddy. You name it.
Then, Veronica invited me to her bridal shower… we hadn’t even MET yet. And I recieved a text from her that said she was inviting me to her bridal shower as a friend. That meant everything to me. I flew to Virginia to attend and had the pleasure of meeting most of her bridal party who were equally as awesome as Veronica. I was welcomed with open arms to Lauren’s home and I’m so thankful for that.
The next time I saw Veronica was when she invited me to her bachelorette party! Seriously, she’s one of a kind, and we had a BLAST.
And then, next was at the rehearsal. This is when I finally got to see Veronica and Nolan interact for the first time since we didn’t get to do an engagement session. The second Veronica stepped out of the car and Nolan saw her he embraced her in the most endearing hug I may have ever seen and continued to tell her how beautiful she looked. Seriously everyone–I can’t explain the look and the genuine love you could see on his face at that moment–in less than 24 hours he was going to be marrying the love of his life. Â After a wonderful and fun rehearsal, the day was finally here. I feel like Veronica and I were both dreaming of this day for a long time–I mean it was at a Southern Plantation how could I not be excited?
The wedding was at Merriweather Manor in Leesburg Virginia and after dark and stormy skies all day the sky cleared out and we were able to get wonderful portraits! I’m so thankful we did because the location was to die for! The bridal suite had me over the moon excited! And it matched their wedding colors so it was even more amazing! Floral were done by Susan Kroner. Simple, yet stunning. The groomsmen certainly had a fun time getting ready. The suite complete with a pool table. I definitely wanted to join! We lucked out with the weather as it was raining all day up until the time we had to do portraits! Then the sun came out and we had a blessed evening! One of the most special moments for me of every wedding is when the father gets to see his daughter for the first time. It almost always brings me to tears, and this time was no exception. This little ring bearer stole my heart!! And stole another little girls’s heart too.. Okay maybe everyone’s heart. Seeing both of their reactions for the first time was priceless. Veronica could barely speak she was so nervous and Nolan was in tears at the beauty of his bride.
WOO! THEY’RE MARRIED! Hanging with the bridal party is becoming one of my favorite past times… this one really knew how to make my job fun.
Further down the property (it’s huge) is an old barn, beautiful fields, and an old truck. The perfect backdrop for portraits! And So thankful it wasn’t raining!
Love the rain boots Veronica! And after eating lots of Spinach and Parmesan dip it was time to dance! Could there be a better backdrop?!
Veronica and Nolan, thank you for letting me tell your love story. I can’t wait to see you again soon!
