Kelly and Doug’s Warwick Valley Winery engagement session makes me so happy! It’s always an honor when my past couples refer their friends. And it’s even more of an honor when their families refer me! To me, that means I left a positive impression during the wedding day, and that’s always my biggest goal- to make everyone have a great time and be the most helpful I can possibly be. Kelly and Doug were referred by a family member from one of my past couples and I couldn’t be more excited about that!

We did our session at Warwick Valley Winery with Kelly and Doug’s pup, Bernie. I LOVE going to this winery and do so quite often so this was so fun for me too! We went straight up in the orchard with their puppy, and roamed through the apple trees and the fields beyond.

Kelly and Doug met years ago when Kelly ran a swim club during the summer and Doug was the director of a summer camp that came to Kelly’s pool. He asked a young lifeguard for her number! They were both from small towns and Kelly knew of Doug from her older brothers and playing sports together.

Their first date consisted of of Sunday brunch during the summer.  Doug picked Kelly up at her apartment and they went to lunch at Doyle’s. They sat outside and ate and had drinks and hung all day!

This past April, Doug was ready to take the next step with Kelly.  They went to harvest on Hudson and had an early dinner, the day before Kelly’s birthday. Doug began to talk about the river and growing up in the area. He asked to take a walk to the water to look around, and at this point, Kelly was getting a bit suspicious! He pointed out a rock down south so she turned around and when she turned back he was proposing !!

They are so excited to be sharing their love and start to forever with friends and family for their April wedding at Mulinos at Lake Isle next year and I cannot wait to be a part of it!!
