I love when my past couples come back to me for milestone moments in their lives. Like when they’re having a baby! Or when they get a puppy! Or when it’s an anniversary! Liz and Neal made all my photographer dreams come true when they asked me to photograph a Weehawken NJ Newborn session for their new baby girl, McKenna!

I did their engagement session YEARS ago in Central Park with their puppy, Cooper, and I was overjoyed when Liz reached out about photographing their baby girl! I arrived at their apartment in Weehawken around 10:00 as McKenna was getting off to sleep. We had a few stolen moments in between her waking up a few times that were absolutely precious, and the best part of it all was just watching Liz and Neal be parents. I knew when I met them years ago that they had such kind and loving hearts, and listening to them love on her, soothe her, and gush over her cuteness was just the best.

I love that she came right before Christmas – the perfect little gift! And we got to take a few adorable pictures under the tree with her in her hair bows! (I can see this being a constant battle between Liz and Neal of whether or not she should be wearing bows!) We ended the session with her in her crib, which was Neal’s crib when he was a baby – made by Neal’s grandpa! The blanket in the crib was made by Neal’s grandmother. I can’t imagine anything more special!

I can’t wait to photograph this sweet girl as she grows this year, and know she’s going to grow up in the most loving home with a curious big puppy brother, Cooper and the most amazing parents. You are so loved McKenna!!
