Kaylin and John are seriously the sweetest! They met in college at Johns Hopkins University where Kaylin was pre-med and John studied economics. It was a night downtown to celebrate the beginning of their senior year. As Kaylin put it, there may have been some liquid courage involved but she made the first move! She was won over by John’s awesome dance movesI can’t wait to see those at the wedding! I’ll definitely be breaking out my dance moves as well.
I loved my time photographing their engagement session at Willowwood Arboretum in Far Hills, New Jersey. The gardens are absolutely breathtaking there and there is so much charm everywhere you go. From old cottages, to old barns, fields of tall grasses and marigolds, to endless flower gardens, there are so many amazing places to take pictures!! It’s such a treat! Not to mention they totally ROCKED their outfit choices and matched the gardens so well!
They described themselves to be one of the happiest couples they know, and I’d have to agree!! From the moment we spoke, to the moment we began taking pictures there was just an incredible light around them. A light that you just know is going to burn bright for decades to come. It was such a joy to be around them and I loved hearing their proposal story again at the beginning of our session! Simple and sweet, John proposed with a handmade dinner (lobster tails and filet mignon)! YUM!
