Oh man you guys, this year has been INSANE!!! 25 incredible weddings and I am honestly so thankful for each and every one of clients. Colleen and Matt’s wedding this weekend at Mayfair Farms in West Orange NJ was a perfect way to end my fall wedding season. The weather was absolutely perfect– a crisp 60 degrees, no wind, no humidity and not a cloud inn the sky.  We had beautiful soft light all day and it was truly a photographers dream to end on a wedding like this!

Colleen and Matt met in Disney, while mutual friends were heading down for a trip together.  They talked a little bit on the trip, and thought each other was quite the catch but never connected more than a few words conversations. After a few years went by, they reconnected when Matt asked Colleen on their first date!

A few years later and they found themselves on a beach trip.  After a hot day, Matt was hugging Colleen and she thought he was having a heat stroke! His heart was beating super fast and he was getting ready for the biggest question he’d ever ask.  He got down on one knee and asked her hand in marriage (and after an obvious yes), their families snuck out from their hiding spots and came to celebrate with them! The day began at The Governor Westin in Morristown and then we headed to Mayfair farms for their first look!  There was so much admiration and adoration during the first look and again, it was one of my favorite moments of the day! We went straight into portraits and after the ceremony the party began!

 

Colleen and Matt, thank you for having me be the one to capture this most special day. I’m unbelievably happy and excited for you both to begin this new adventure! Enjoy Antigua!
