About a year and a half ago I was on facebook and a girl posted a gallery of her first wedding ever. She had actually just recently picked up a camera that year too, as a Graphic Design major, and someone in her class asked her to shoot her wedding. I am not kidding you when I say my jaw dropped when I read it was her first wedding. She was an inspiration and someone I immediately wanted to befriend and learn from. I messaged her saying how much I admired her work and she was the sweetest girl ever! A wonderful friendship soon blossomed and I attended her Day One Workshop to build my portfolio when I was starting out. She was incredibly organized, had an amazing vision, and created absolutely stunning artwork while making her clients feel at ease amongst making the guests at ease and making the day run smoothly. The girl I’m talking about is Bri Cibene of Bri Cibene Photography. She’s based out of Florida and so happened to get a wedding up here in Connecticut. She asked if I would be interested in second shooting with her and I couldn’t believe it. It was such a dream come true and such an honor to shoot alongside her. It was amazing to see how she ran the wedding day and kept things on schedule while getting all these incredible shots! I was in awe…
So then, not only was shooting with her incredible, but then shooting a wedding at Stamford Yacht Club, with event design by 5th Avenue Weddings happens and it’s just pure magic. I’m so blessed to be a part of this day and thankful that Bri asked me to shoot along side her. I hope for the chance to do it again someday (but now that her hubby is her new second shooter it’ll have to be at a workshop!). Thank you Bri for letting me be a part of Alex and Gabe’s Wedding day!
We had the most incredible let where Alex was getting ready!
The first look of his daughter. Always a beautiful moment. The ceremony was held at Alex’s church in Darien Connecticut. The reception was held at the Stamford Yacht Club in Stamford, Connecticut. It was amazing!
A beautiful sunset over the bay was expected after a perfect day.
The event design by 5th Avenue Weddings blew me out of the water! I hope to get to work with them again someday!
May I have this dance?
