Hi! I'm Laura!

I’m a wedding and brand photographer for creative and adventurous hearts and and your resident work-life balance aficionado. I’m so glad you’re here!
My favorite thing in life is sitting out by my fire-pit with a glass of Riesling and a s’more in hand with friends and family surrounding me. I'm rarely ever found without a warm blanket wrapped around me, and If my wallet didn't frown upon it, I’d probably buy everything in Anthropologie Home and Free People.

Hello world! Happy 2019!! I am SO SO excited to share this latest session with you. A couple years ago, I decided I wanted to start doing brand sessions for other creative entrepreneurs. I LOVE seeing the passion behind people’s work, and getting to tell the story of their business and THEIR talents through my images.  It’s such an insanely satisfying way for me to tell stories. When I started doing brand sessions, I made it a goal to some day get to photograph a session for Amira Rahim, my favorite artist to follow on Instagram.

After following her for years, we discovered we lived really close to each other! She said she’d be interested in a brand session someday in the future, and I eagerly anticipated that day coming.  Then, the planning began! She reached out and we went full force into Pinterest boards and all the colorful goodness for me to make a mood board from. From this step, I really just wanted to make sure what I was pinning was matching what she envisioned for the session.  She’s launching a course for other artists and teaching people how to paint like her and these images were to be used on her website, sales page, slide decks, and just social media promotion in general!

Since she’s had her fair share of sessions of her painting, this session was more focused on headshots for the course promo.  We did a few outfits, a few different locations through her house, and I was completely smitten with her work the entire time. Amira describes her work as soulful abstract energy and wants her audience to feel fun, excitement, intrigue, and confidence when viewing her work.  I’d say she hit the nail on the head with that one.

Offering both paintings and prints in her shop along with classes for artist, she paints for human connection, joy, and raising the positive vibrations in the universe.  Her mission is to make the world a more colorful place and I’d have to say she’s successfully done that! I loved every minute of this session and looking through these pictures now bring me so much joy! I hope they bring the same to you!
