What a gorgeous summer wedding I have to share with you today!! Kim and Danny kicked off the end of summer weddings in South Jersey with a beautiful ceremony and reception at Laurita Winery in New Egypt, NJ. With a perfectly warm and sunny day, they celebrated with all of their family and friends by their side. I am obsessed with all of the photos from their day and can’t wait to share them with you here!
Kim and her bridesmaids started their day at Kim’s parent’s beautiful house in Hillsborough, NJ. The prep team that morning was amazing. I had the pleasure of working with two of my favorite hair and make-up artists, Samantha Linn, and Julie Finnerty. They both did such an amazing job on the bridal parties hair and makeup. Kim’s hair was some of the most beautifully done hair I have ever seen with a flower crown built into her hair and I kept telling her I was going to copy her on my wedding day sometime!! IT WAS SO FREAKIN GORGEOUS! Julie, you’re amazing! And then the makeup!! MY GOSH. Samantha is so so immensely talented, especially when it comes to the natural look! All the girls looked so amazing!
All of her bridesmaids were wearing floral crowns as well which made for such a cute, bohemian style. The color of their dress also complemented the time of year really well with dusty rose dresses for the bridesmaids and her maid of honor in a nice burgundy color. And the flowers! Oh my gosh – these were unreal. Sally Castellini from Pink Dahlia Vintage did the flowers and they were stunning. Everything went so perfectly together!!
Flowers seem to be the theme for these two. Just a week before their wedding, Kim and Danny had an amazing engagement session in a sunflower maze in Sussex, NJ. Even with the rain, the photos turned out beautifully. If you missed the blog about their session and all the details of their relationship and the proposal, you can read about it here.
Once everyone was ready, we went outside to take bridesmaid photos and pop some champagne in the backyard. It was such a fun way to start the day!
Meanwhile, Danny and the guys all got ready at Danny’s house on his parent’s farm. Because Danny works with the local fire department, they brought over a truck to the house to take some of the groom and groomsmen photos. HOW COOL! I loved this – so sweet and personal!
After everyone was finished getting ready (guys and girls), we headed over to Laurita Winery. Danny and Kim had their first look in the vineyards and it was incredible! After their first look and a few portraits, we had the whole wedding party take photos in the vineyard and it was a blast! The energy of the group was amazing and everyone was just having so much fun with these two! From there, we took family photos and some more bride and groom portraits until it was time to hide them away for the ceremony.
The ceremony took place outside overlooking the vineyard during golden hour and the lighting was perfect! Mitch the Minister was the officiant for the ceremony and he had the entire group laughing and smiling the entire time. All of the readings and vows were so personalized to Kim and Danny’s relationship which really made the ceremony feel really special. After the ceremony, everyone headed inside for the cocktail hour.
Following the cocktail hour, everyone moved to a different room to begin the reception. All of the parent’s dances were so beautiful. And, Kim and Danny’s first dance was definitely a tear-jerker. The danced to I’m Yours by Russell Dickerson and it was so incredibly sweet – naturally, I cried the entire time. What is wrong with me!?!
After the first dances, Kim and Danny’s closest friends and family members shared toasts to their relationship and how much both of them meant to their loved ones. It was so clear how much these two were loved by everyone in the room that evening, and once again, I’m pretty sure I cried.
The night ended in style with a jam-packed dance floor all night with amazing DJ’s from AJH Entertainment. Everyone was having so much fun dancing and celebrating into the night, but before I left we had one more to do! A sparkler exit!! The evening ended with a sparkler exit with Kim and Danny surrounded by their wedding party and immediate family and they closed an amazing night at the winery! This was the perfect way to end it!
Kim and Danny, I had so much fun celebrating with you, your families, and friends! You two are amazing – your love for each other is infectious and it is clear that you have an amazing future together as husband and wife. Thank you for inviting me into your lives and letting me share your beautiful story with the world.
