This was SUCH a fun engagement session down by the George Washington Bridge for so many reasons. I went to high school with Sara, and haven’t really talked since then and it was an absolute BLAST catching up and seeing how she’s grown into such a beautiful person. And then you add Josh in, and it’s incredible.
Sara and Josh had meeting left up to fate when Sara’s car broke down on the side of the road near her college, Rutgers University. Josh was kind enough to stop to help her get it started again, the chatted a bit, and he showed that he was quite the gentleman! They parted ways, never spoke after that, and then by chance, AGAIN, saw each other at a bar two weeks later. They got to talking and the rest was history! That was five years ago and I don’t think I’ve ever heard of a better real life love story.
They live in Fort Lee NJ overlooking the Hudson River and frequent picnics together down by the water. Josh also buys Sara sunflowers and she loves to bake so we incorporated all of this into their session!! We trekked down the steps to the river and strolled along til we hit the beachy area. We took some super fun pictures here with the George Washington Bridge in the background and it was INCREDIBLE. Immediately I knew these two were going to have an incredible session because they are just so.in.love. And it’s amazing to see how the interact and care for each other, even without speaking words. The little glances, the hand holding, the nuzzles. I loved every second of this session.
After the beach it was time for our picnic so we strolled further down the river towards the George Washington Bridge and plopped down right underneath it! Sara and Josh also let me experiment a little bit with a double exposure and I LOVE how it came out (At the end).
I hope you enjoy this one as I much as I enjoyed shooting it!
Love this little glance. =) George Washington Bridge Absolutely LOVE Sara’s floral crown by Tiger Lily in Teaneck, NJ It almost looks like the Caribbean, right?! Haha! Ashley Landry did such an incredible job on Sara’s make-up! She is so beyond talented!! Give her a follow on Instagram! Love this cute girl!!Sara’s ring has generations of good luck and strong marriages attached to it. It’s so special to her and I’m so thankful I got to tell this part of the story! Sara hopes to go to Pastry school next year and absolutely loves to bake so it was only fitting to put her ring in the cupcake!! And then we got to eat them!! They were so good! Beautiful views in a quiet setting.
LOVE this shot! You’re stunning, Sara! This is the double exposure!! LOVE how it turned out, especially since I rarely do this!
Sara and Josh, I can’t wait for your 1920’s Great Gatsby themed wedding. it’s going to be amazing to celebrate you two starting your journey to forever together and I am so honored I could document these memories for you both! I can’t wait to see you again soon!!
