Hi! I'm Laura!

I’m a wedding and brand photographer for creative and adventurous hearts and and your resident work-life balance aficionado. I’m so glad you’re here!
My favorite thing in life is sitting out by my fire-pit with a glass of Riesling and a s’more in hand with friends and family surrounding me. I'm rarely ever found without a warm blanket wrapped around me, and If my wallet didn't frown upon it, I’d probably buy everything in Anthropologie Home and Free People.

Anytime the bride emails you and asks you for your head measurement so they can get you a floral crown, you know it’s going to be a REALLY GOOD WEDDING DAY. Especially when said bride is the most adorable, sweetest, and kind hearted person, whom you also went to highschool with! Sara and Josh’s summer wedding at FEAST at Round Hill this weekend was something special.

Sara and Josh had a meeting left up to fate when Sara’s car broke down on the side of the road near her college, Rutgers University. Josh was kind enough to stop to help her get it started again, they chatted a bit, and he showed that he was quite the gentleman! They parted ways, never spoke after that, and then by chance, AGAIN, saw each other at a bar two weeks later. They got to talking and the rest was history! That was six years ago and I don’t think I’ve ever heard of a better real life love story.

On the morning of the wedding, the whole wedding party got dressed and ready at a nearby AirBnb! So glad I had that idea, because it was amazing and so much better than a cramped hotel room for everyone!! The guys were upstairs getting dressed while the girls were in hair and make-up downstairs and then they slipped out the front door while we hid Sara in the kitchen.

I started off with her gorgeous details, including a beautiful ring and her mom’s wedding band which she’s been wearing since high school. The flowers were absolutely gorgeous and made such a beautiful backdrop! When the girls were done with hair and make-up, we took some cute champagne pictures on the bed and I just love how much these girls care about Sara. Everyone as just so genuinely excited to be a part of the day.

Once it was time to leave for the venue, the girls hopped in a limo and I followed them over to the FEAST at Round Hill. We put Josh into position for the first look and took Sara down to the field overlooking the valley.  When I say no one could pull off her wedding dress but her, I mean no one.  She looked absolutely stunning in her sleek, form fitting gown, completing her beautiful bridal look with a long, flowy veil with so much detail.

Their first look was nothing short of amazing and you could just see how giddy Sara was as she got ready to see her groom.  They embraced and flirted and kissed (after asking me if they were allowed haha!) and then we went on to take portraits in the field, until we were joined by the wedding party.

The girls were all decked out in gorgeous floral gowns and floral crowns (my dream) seriously, can everyone just wear floral crowns all the time, I think the world would be a happier place) and I was also proudly wearing my floral crown! I think I said at least five times.. “I can’t believe I HAVE A FLORAL CROWN!” It was so special- Sara- thank you for making me feel so special and as your mom put it, like a 12 year old girl again! (In a good way!)

After wedding party and family formals were done, guests started arriving so Sara, Josh and I went into the garden for some more portraits which is pretty much the only place to successfully hide from the guests once they get there!  We strolled through roses bushes and fountains and I just love getting to shoot weddings at FEAST at Round Hill. It’s such a unique and quaint venue with gorgeous grounds!

After the ceremony in the garden, performed by Sara’s cousin, the guests enjoyed cocktail hour until Sara and Josh were introduced at the reception.  We kicked off with the special dances, followed by her dad’s Jewish blessing over bread and wine.  Once the party started, they celebrated with traditional Jewish and Italian dances, for their respective heritages and everyone had a blast taking turns going up on the chair and do-si-do-ing with their friends!

Scott and I felt like a part of the family/friend group from the moment we got there and I am just so thankful for couples who makes us feel like such a special part of their day.

Sara and Josh, thank you for being so much more than clients, and for being wonderful friends and amazing people to work with through this entire process. I’ve loved connecting with you and documenting your beautiful love story.  There is no doubt in my mind you’re in for a lifetime of love and so much happiness!
