Hi! I'm Laura!

I’m a wedding and brand photographer for creative and adventurous hearts and and your resident work-life balance aficionado. I’m so glad you’re here!
My favorite thing in life is sitting out by my fire-pit with a glass of Riesling and a s’more in hand with friends and family surrounding me. I'm rarely ever found without a warm blanket wrapped around me, and If my wallet didn't frown upon it, I’d probably buy everything in Anthropologie Home and Free People.

I am just in awe over Shannon and Tim’s wedding at Perona Farms this weekend! Even though they live down near Toms River, they had their wedding in Sparta, NJ, which was great because that’s right near me!

If you remember Shannon and Tim’s engagement session, you know that this wedding is quite special for me! My grandma and Shannon’s grandma are actually first cousins, which I think makes Shannon and I third cousins or second cousins once removed.  I don’t really understand any of that stuff but it’s one of those I think!! Shannon’s grandmother, Sonja was actually in my grandparents wedding as a junior bridesmaids! How incredible is that?!?! Shannon and I apparently met when we were born but that was the last of it.

Shannon and Tim met in middle school, reconnected in high school and have been best friends in love ever since. When Shannon went out to Ohio State for college, Tim followed her out there and showed his dedication to their relationship. They had only been dating a few months at the time but he knew that she was the one and he wasn’t about to let her go.  Fast forward a few years later from high school and college and these two have started a little family together with their two dogs, Coco and Spanky, and their cat, Cali.

I love the way they can make each other smile no matter what and how they constantly break through the quiet with so much laughter.  That seemed to be a recurring theme throughout the wedding, that they are always always laughing together, and I think in general, they are just always laughing!! I actually told Shannon’s dad that she was one of the happiest brides I’ve ever seen!

And side note on that- I actually got to meet my entire extended family, whom I also haven’t seen since I was born! All my dad’s second cousins and everything.  It was REALLY awesome, and we even got a picture of all of us together which I’m excited to send to my grandparents!

The day started at the Hilton Garden Inn in Rockaway and then the wedding party and family took limos over to Perona Farms where the ceremony and reception were being held.  Shannon put her dress on in the barn while the groomsmen all took pictures with Scott outside the barn.

Then, we got to go over to the first look which we did in front of the ceremony location because Blue Jasmine Floral did literally THEE MOST SPECTACULAR job ever on their wedding canopy.  I MEAN SERIOUSLY, PAULINA!!!!!

Their first look was nothing short of mesmerizing and full of joy.  Shannon cried, I cried, and Tim was all smiles the second he turned around to see his beautiful bride.  After they shared their moment, we took portraits and were joined shortly after by the wedding party and family.

When formals were done, guests started arriving for the ceremony.  When it began, Shannon walked down the aisle with her mom and dad, every person in attendance smiling ear to ear.

From the ceremony, we went back over to the barn where their reception was being held and finished up formals while the guests went to cocktail hour.  Shannon and Tim joined the last little bit of it and Scott and I went to photograph the incredible details which were florals by Blue Jasmine and cute little records with the table names on it! Shannon made so many of the details for the wedding and it was just incredible to see her vision come to fruition.  Every part of the day was thought out and it was all STUNNING.

The DJ had the barns dance floor jammin all night and Scott and I had so much fun celebrating with Shannon and Tim, and their family and friends.  It was so great to meet my extended family and even cooler that my parents were also in attendance! All in all, Shannon and Tim’s wedding at Perona Farms is not one I’ll soon forget.

Shannon and Tim, I have absolutely loved meeting you guys, laughing with you both, documenting your love story and reconnecting after 25 years.  I loved celebrating your wedding at Perona Farms with you and hope to see you both again soon!! <3 Cheers to forever, to love and to happiness!!
