Ashley and Tim’s wedding at The Washington at Historic Yellow Springs in Malvern, PA was absolutely beautiful this weekend.  I can’t believe the September weather we’ve been having!  It was a beautiful and balmy 80 degrees and sunny on their wedding day and we couldn’t have asked for anything better.

When I walked into the bridal suite, I was so excited to see some friendly faces that I have not seen since graduation.  You see, Ashley and Tim are also graduates of my alma mater, Philadelphia University, where they met their freshman year.  They had the same group of friends throughout and during their sophomore year, they began dating.  It didn’t take long for them to become best friends and fall in love.  Tim said he knew that he had found his bride right away! Two of Ashley’s bridesmaids were also from PhilaU, who I knew as well! Along with a few of Tim’s groomsmen- so it was a big ol’ reunion!

Ashley was in PA school at PhilaU and Tim was a landscape architecture major.  If you ask me, it’s a complete miracle they ever even got to see each other! I love college sweethearts (since I’m one!) so this story is extra special to me- especially since they went to PhilaU too and we graduated together!

Tim proposed in a place near and dear to their hearts- the Wissahickon area of Philly, near our school.  There’s tons of hiking trails back there and a creek so it’s a great place to hang out. They brought their dog Ginko on a hike with them and Tim popped the question with the whole little fam there (them and their puppy). Ashley jumped and screamed for joy (5 years in the making!) and Tim accidentally let go of Ginko! Whoops! He was excited too.

After all the hair and make up, and details were done at the hotel, we all headed over to The Washington at Historic Yellow Springs for Ashley to put her dress on and the guys to get ready.  Ashley walked into the bridal suite to a beautiful bouquet of Lillies from Tim, a three page letter, and an entire gift box of personalized items with their names, pictures and date on them.  It was so so sweet!

After everyone was dressed, the guests had already begun to arrive, so we his away for the ceremony.  The ceremony was held under a huge tree on the upper part of the property and they did a special knot tying ceremony! Ashley looked absolutely stunning in her Hayley Paige Gown and Tim couldn’t have been happier to see her walking down the aisle with her father.

After the ceremony, we took portraits with the wedding party, family, and then went around the property for bride and groom portraits and the sunlight and golden hour was just incredible!!! We could not have lucked out any more, and I love the pictures of them in the field.  Ashley spinning around in her gown was a beautiful site to see.

They joined for the last bit of their cocktail hour, and Gricel and I finished the reception details before guests filtered in the room.  The reception kicked off with a mead toast, special dances, and toasts from the bridesmaids, best man, and both parents! It was so special and not a dry eye was in the house.

The dance floor was packed all night thanks to DJ Gaetano and the guests had an absolute blast! It was the most wonderful celebration, and I’m so excited I got to be a part of it.

Ashley and Tim, thank you for having me there to capture so many sweet moments from your love story.  I know this day was the start to forever and I wish you all the love and happiness in the world.. I hope we get to see each other at PhilaU reunions for years to come!

Another thanks to all the incredible vendors who made this day beautiful.
