Hi! I'm Laura!

I’m a wedding and brand photographer for creative and adventurous hearts and and your resident work-life balance aficionado. I’m so glad you’re here!
My favorite thing in life is sitting out by my fire-pit with a glass of Riesling and a s’more in hand with friends and family surrounding me. I'm rarely ever found without a warm blanket wrapped around me, and If my wallet didn't frown upon it, I’d probably buy everything in Anthropologie Home and Free People.

Sara and Brian’s Farmstead Golf Club Wedding was held this week on a beautiful, warm summer day. Surrounded by both of their family and friends, Sara and Brian’s wedding celebration was one for the books. I am so grateful that I was able to be a small part of this amazing day in their lives!

Sara and her bridesmaids stayed on property for the morning and got dressed inside the golf club. All of Sara’s bridesmaids wore gorgeous neutral shades, all in different colors and styles. I absolutely LOVE how the photos turned out with this color palette and the girls were all so sweet! Always love a bridal party that makes my job so fun!.

When it was time for Sara to get into her dress, her sister helped her get into the dress and place her veil. Once everything was complete, everyone in the room was gushing, Sara looked absolutely stunning! And in true Sara fashion, she tried to brush off the attention but my goodness, she looked beautiful.

Every detail of the day – from the first look to the family formals to the dance floor – went perfectly. Sara and Brian had their first look out on the golf course on the beautifully manicured green grass. When Brian spotted Sara, he was so overjoyed that he quickly ran to her and wrapped her in hugs and kisses. It was so unbelievably sweet!

After an hour of beautiful couple portraits on various parts of the golf course, Sara and Brian moved to join their family and the rest of the wedding party. I absolutely loved photographing this group, they had such a fun and relaxed energy. And, best of all, I’ve had nearly half of them in a past wedding party. One of the groomsmen was even one of my past groom’s!!

It is always such an honor to get to make these connections and see familiar faces when I go to “work” for the day. Getting to photograph couples who have become my friends fills me with joy and is one of my favorite parts of what I do. So keep it comin’ friends!

The ceremony took place in front of the gazebo on the lake. Such a perfect spot! Sara and Brian wrote their own vows to one another. Naturally…I cried! There was a little breeze running through the golf course that afternoon which was a game changer! SUCH a lifesaver from an otherwise hot day!

After the ceremony, Sara and Brian went straight into the cocktail hour to join their excited guests and celebrate! Following the cocktail hour, the wedding party and guests moved into the room next door for the reception.

On each of the tables at the reception, Sara and Brian placed wine corks from all the years they had collecting them together. Whether it was a special occasion or just a casual Friday night celebrating the weekend – they always saved their corks and wrote a short message and the date.

On the day of their engagement, Brian added one cork to their collection. It read, “Brian proposes… Sara says…” and as Sara read the cork, Brian got down on one knee! And today, at their wedding, they were able to share this story and so many other wine cork stories with their guests! What a great conversation starter!

Sara and Brian’s first dance together was so sweet. After they had their first dance, they both shared the dance floor for parents dances. Sara with her Dad and Brian with his mom. This part of the day always gets me!!

Once the formal dances were done, it was party time! Sara and Brian had an absolute blast leading the way and getting everyone on the dance floor. Well… Brian did! While they’re complete opposites – Brian loves to be the life of the party and Sara loves to share smaller more intimate conversation with people – they both found their moments of pure joy throughout the night. And, the DJ was amazing too! He had everyone pumped up and on the dance floor the whole night. It was so fun to see – everyone was dancing, laughing, having big group cheers, and enjoying the beautiful night!

Everything about Sara and Brian’s wedding day was perfect – the couple, their loving family, their happy friends, the weather, the location, everything! Sara and Brian, thank you for letting me be a part of your amazing day, your love for one another is infectious. I cannot wait to see what the future holds for the two of you!

Thank you to these incredible vendors for making the day possible!
