Hi! I'm Laura!

I’m a wedding and brand photographer for creative and adventurous hearts and and your resident work-life balance aficionado. I’m so glad you’re here!
My favorite thing in life is sitting out by my fire-pit with a glass of Riesling and a s’more in hand with friends and family surrounding me. I'm rarely ever found without a warm blanket wrapped around me, and If my wallet didn't frown upon it, I’d probably buy everything in Anthropologie Home and Free People.

This Hidden Pond Tree Farm engagement session in Mendham New Jersey was SO FULL of laughter. Tony and Michele rolled up in their jeep with their pup, Watson (who is absolutely adorable as you’ll soon find out) and re-expressed that they’re not very serious people.  They laugh pretty much all the time, and are always joking and goofing around with each other.  My response? PERFECT.  Engagement sessions are all about having FUN, and I knew this one was going to be a blast from the minute it started (despite it being absolutely freezing out!!

Tony and Michele met in high school. Tony played baseball with Michele’s brother freshman year, but it wasn’t until junior year in homeroom that they really started to like each other. Despite Michele’s friends trying to convince her to not date him, Tony argued otherwise, and won.  And thank goodness for that, because I couldn’t imagine two people more perfect for each other!

Their first date was the day after Christmas in 2007. It was supposed to be a double date, but Tony’s best friend got stood up, so the three of them went to Qdoba and the movies, but sat in a different row at the movies! HA! To be honest, this is actually EXACTLY how my first date with my high school boyfriend went. Except I think it was Johnny Rockets and the movies hahaha!! Needless to say, mine clearly didn’t go as well as Michele and Tony’s did.

Fast forward, and just 2 days after their 9 year first-date anniversary, Tony got down on one knee during a blizzard whilst skiing in Stratton, Vermont. Lo and behold, the same friend who came on their first date with them was there to capture the magic and the moment! How special is that?!

Now, they have an adorable pup named Watson, so they enjoy going to dog-friendly restaurants and playing with him.  They’d describe themselves as fun-loving and outdoorsy, so no doubt, you KNOW they are the perfect Laura Lee couple! I am so so so ecstatic to be a part of their wedding!!

As far as the session goes, it was SO full of love, and laugher.  We were cracking jokes and laughing the entire time, and even though Tony never seemed to hear my punchlines, he laughed anyway (thank you- appreciate it!) We braved the cold (them much more so since I was bundled up!) and were so thankful to get to wander the Hidden Pond Tree Farm for their pictures. Since it was SO COLD out, we ended a bit early and opted for drinks and appetizers at the Office in Morristown, just a few minutes from their house! I am so thankful for couples that not only trust me with their precious memories and life milestones, but are brought into my life as new friends.

Tony and Michele, thank you for trusting me with these beautiful memories- I am so excited to document your love story and can’t wait for August when you two get to say I DO!  I can’t wait to continue getting to know you both!! I hope you love these as much as I do!! SO MUCH LAUGHTER, I LOVE IT!
