Hi! I'm Laura!

I’m a wedding and brand photographer for creative and adventurous hearts and and your resident work-life balance aficionado. I’m so glad you’re here!
My favorite thing in life is sitting out by my fire-pit with a glass of Riesling and a s’more in hand with friends and family surrounding me. I'm rarely ever found without a warm blanket wrapped around me, and If my wallet didn't frown upon it, I’d probably buy everything in Anthropologie Home and Free People.

Oh you guys! This is an exciting one for sure! Erin and Kenny’s winter engagement session in Vernon NJ was a memorable one for SURE, because it was in my backyard!! Erin was referred to me by one of my sweet 2016 brides’ sister and I am always so grateful to not only my amazing couples, but their amazing friends and family who feel compelled to refer me and continue to help me live out this dream job every day.

Erin and Kenny met 5 and a half years ago and have been dating ever since! They met the summer after their freshman years in college. They worked together at the Turtle Back Zoo at the TreeTop Adventure Course!! Kenny went to college at Seton Hall University and Erin went to school at Virginia Tech! After doing long distance for 3 years, they are THRILLED to finally start their life together as a married couple. Erin says they knew each other was “the one” back in 2011, so this was a long time coming!!

Erin is a first year teacher for 2nd grade at a charter school in Bergen County, while Kenny is in law school at night. He’ll be graduating a week before their wedding, so I can’t imagine what a celebration this night will be for them! Not only do they get to finally start their life together in the SAME PLACE, but Kenny will be hitting such a huge life milestone in his career as well!

They are having a Christmas themed wedding at the Westmount Country Club and I am so excited to spend time with them, and their friends and family for this celebration!

As far as this winter engagement session goes, it was SO full of love, and I cannot believe what troopers they were! You would never guess that it was 13 degrees out when we took these!! I’ve gotta be honest, when Erin sent me pictures of what she was going to wear, I was pretty nervous that she’d turn into a popsicle! I literally texted back and asked if she was cold-blooded, and when I got a big YES back, I knew they’d be up for the adventure! We stuffed our shoes and hands with warmers, and geared up to brave the cold (or, at least I did).  Erin was a champ the whole time and looked so gorgeous with her green peacoat and then her BEAUTIFUL navy dress! They dressed up and cleaned up amazing, and Kenny complimented her dress so well with his navy!

In between outfits, we totally came inside for some spiked cider (thanks to Scott!), and then ended the session with some spiked hot chocolate to warm us up head to toe! Not a bad way to end a session if you ask me!!

Erin and Kenny, thank you for trusting me with these beautiful memories- I am so excited to document your love story and can’t wait for next Christmas season when you two get to say I DO!  I can’t wait to continue getting to know you both!! I hope you love these as much as I do!!
