Hi! I'm Laura!

I’m a wedding and brand photographer for creative and adventurous hearts and and your resident work-life balance aficionado. I’m so glad you’re here!
My favorite thing in life is sitting out by my fire-pit with a glass of Riesling and a s’more in hand with friends and family surrounding me. I'm rarely ever found without a warm blanket wrapped around me, and If my wallet didn't frown upon it, I’d probably buy everything in Anthropologie Home and Free People.

I think I start out every blog post about brand sessions saying how much I love brand sessions, but it is so true! I absolutely love strategizing about the brands’ vibe, their mission, and the specific shots we need to get in order to tell a story for their specific business.

When Stephanie of Infinite Ireland contacted me about shooting her brand session I was so excited! I had about 1 million questions for her in order to make the shoot absolutely perfect. Stephanie heard about my business on The Strategy Hour podcast. After our consultation, she told me she wanted to go forward with booking her brand session. She was willing to come all the way out to Warwick, New York- the town next to where I live to do the session! She drove five hours to meet me and I am so honored!

Stephanie has a unique job. She is an Ireland travel coach. And if you ask me, that sounds like the coolest job ever! It all started in 2006 when she and her husband Joe went on their honeymoon to Ireland. As she puts it, it changed her life forever! And it just so happened to also change her career! Just for fun at the time, she started a travel blog all about what she learned traveling in Ireland. She blogged about how to drive on the left, how to rent a car, what to pack for a trip and even gave her exact itineraries. When she started getting blog traffic from Pinterest she thought she might be onto something! So, she started doing one on one itineraries for people traveling to Ireland. Fast forward a few years and she is now a full-time travel coach for people going to Ireland. She gives people custom itineraries as well as suggestions on where to eat, what to do, where to shop and how to really embrace the culture and travel slowly. She has been back to Ireland seven times since her honeymoon and continues to fall more in love with it every time. I am absolutely fascinated by her story and her business. This makes me want to start a Copenhagen travel blog!

Since we couldn’t go to Ireland for the session, we decided initially that we would go to a local café near me for her session. After second thought, we decided it might be too small. So, I started looking for Airbnb‘s once I realized how far Stephanie was going to have to drive to get out here. Since she had to stay overnight anyway, I decided to look for an Airbnb in Warwick, New York. It was a perfect location because there are so many farms, rock walls, and rolling green hills that remind me of Ireland there! The houses are charming and I knew that it would be a perfect place to do the shoot since we couldn’t hop on a plane to go across the pond.

We had planned on taking head shots inside the house and outside around the property as well as a few flat lay‘s of travel gizmos and gadgets. Michelle of Michelle Elise Hair and Makeup Artistry did Stephanie‘s hair and make up and she is an absolute godsend- so much talent! She did such a good job and as always, it was an absolute honor working with her.

We started with headshots inside and the light was absolutely to die for!  We did some pictures of Stephanie working at her computer, going through some travel books, sipping tea and eating baked goods, and then looking at a map of Ireland. I styled flat lays of travel photos from Ireland, along with maps books and more to capture the vibe of Stephanie‘s love of travel. I couldn’t believe how many books she had on Ireland! Once we were done inside we went outside to walk around the property and take pictures on any rock wall we could find. The property was gorgeous! We are so thankful to Pioneer Farm for allowing us to rent their home and photograph Stephanie’s session here.

Stephanie, I am so grateful that you came all the way up here for your brand session! I hope these are everything you dreamed of and more. And I hope that we meet again someday! Maybe next time we’ll really fly over to Ireland! I’ll be reaching out when I plan my next trip there and I wish you so much success in business!
