Hi! I'm Laura!

I’m a wedding and brand photographer for creative and adventurous hearts and and your resident work-life balance aficionado. I’m so glad you’re here!
My favorite thing in life is sitting out by my fire-pit with a glass of Riesling and a s’more in hand with friends and family surrounding me. I'm rarely ever found without a warm blanket wrapped around me, and If my wallet didn't frown upon it, I’d probably buy everything in Anthropologie Home and Free People.

Now that it has officially HAPPENED, I can safely say that the absolute best part of my job is when my past wedding couples reach out to me to document the next milestone in their life.  And if there are any two people that I would want to see and photograph again, it would be Kim and Jim. Literally, every time I leave a session with them, I get in my car and just thank the universe for bringing them together, because they are truly soulmates. Honestly, the way they look at each other and love each other is what I wish for every one of my couples and everyone I meet.  They’re just such a perfect fit together.

Kim and Jim originally found me on Facebook in 2015 and we connected at a Starbucks near my job at the time. I remember leaving our coffee date thinking they were exactly the type of people I wanted to work with.  They booked shortly after that meeting and we started planning for their engagement session.

After getting rained out for our original location, we rescheduled and decided to do their session in their hometown, Long Beach, NY.  We strolled the boardwalk, the beach, and even got in the water for a few shots on the getty. This is still one of my favorite engagement sessions, and we ended the session taking pictures in their home with their dog in their room.  Once I was done swooning, we ate some cheese and crackers and had a beer together just getting to know each other more. I couldn’t wait for their wedding day, and when it finally came, I never wanted it to end.

Their wedding was one of the most joyful celebrations imaginable.  Despite it being over 100 degrees, and dozens of things going wrong, their wedding day was full of emotions as they read their vows privately to one another, said I do to become husband and wife, and danced the night away surrounded by their friends and family.  It was a wedding day I’m not ever going to forget and still lives on as one of my favorites.

SO, needless to say, after photographing them twice already, and completely falling in love with them as a couple and as people, I was THRILLED when Kim texted me to tell me they were expecting a BABY and asked me if I’d do maternity photos! I literally responded “OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG YOU’RE GOING TO BE PARENTS!!! AND THE BEST ONES EVER OMG!”

So in true Kim and Jim session scheduling fashion, we had to reschedule this one four times due to weather, and then food poisoning, and then flooding, and then we FINALLY got a BEAUTIFUL spring, sunny day for the most perfect mountaintop maternity pictures I could ever imagine. Honestly, if there was ever a session to leave me completely speechless, this would be it.  We started down by the lake, and then went up to the mountaintop for golden hour, and I just can’t even express what it meant to me to be able to document this season of their life.

Kim and Jim, you are as radiant as the sun, you bring your own glow and your own joy everywhere you go, and I just am so excited to get to document this life milestone for you.  I hope there are many others to come together. I can’t wait to watch you become parents and am cheering you on every step of the way. Your little boy or girl is THE LUCKIEST in the world to have you two to guide them through life.  Thank you for trusting me with your precious memories, I LOVE YOU GUYS.
