Hi! I'm Laura!

I’m a wedding and brand photographer for creative and adventurous hearts and and your resident work-life balance aficionado. I’m so glad you’re here!
My favorite thing in life is sitting out by my fire-pit with a glass of Riesling and a s’more in hand with friends and family surrounding me. I'm rarely ever found without a warm blanket wrapped around me, and If my wallet didn't frown upon it, I’d probably buy everything in Anthropologie Home and Free People.

Hi guys! Sydney again, I am so excited to share Maria and Colin’s Micro-Wedding with you! I couldn’t be more excited about this and my journey with wedding photography. Due to covid I wasn’t able to shoot their engagement session so this was my first time meeting these two cuties in person. Covid might have made their engagement session not happen and made them postpone their full wedding day but it didn’t stop them from tying the knot and finally being married. This wedding is extra special because they were my first booking ever! They will always have a special place in my heart.

I got a message from them a couple months ago saying they wanted to postpone their full wedding day since they had a lot of family coming from Ireland that wouldn’t be able to make it. They still wanted to get married on September 26, 2020 so they did. They got married at Maria’s family’s house and it was truly so special. There was so much family incorporated in their day. Maria’s parents have such a beautiful house with a gigantic yard! Her dad planted flowers and made the yard look so beautiful for their special day. Maria said that her dad, mother and sister Regina were up at 4am getting the house ready! That is some serious dedication. Maria’s sister Regina was her wedding planner and did an amazing job, everyone needs a sister like Regina!

When I arrived I was greeted by Regina and Maria’s mom. They are the sweetest people ever. I started the day by taking a photo of  her dress so Colin didn’t see it when he came. It was simply gorgeous! The detailing was amazing. I then went to take some detailed photos of their invitations, rings, flowers, Maria’s bracelet and earrings. Maria’s rings are priceless. They have so much sentimental value. Her engagement ring was Colin’s moms and her wedding band was custom made with diamonds from her side of the family.

Once I finished photographing their details it was time for Maria to get dressed and have her first look with her dad. Their first look was so emotional. He had instant tears! What dad wouldn’t?! Maria wore cowboy boots with her wedding dress and her dad surprised her by wearing his cowboy boots and it made Maria so dang happy!

When Maria walked the aisle Colin had tears in his eyes. He was so excited to marry his best friend. I love seeing the groom’s face when he sees his bride for the first time. It’s so special. They were surrounded by 30 of  their closest friends and family and it was exactly what Maria wanted. It was so so special! After the ceremony they went and had their first dances. Maria and Colin danced like they were the only two in the room. I couldn’t stop smiling during their first dance, their happiness just beamed off of them! Colin then danced with his mom and Maria danced with her dad. It was just as special and I’m so glad I got to document it.

Maria and Colin had such a long family formal list but every photo was worth it. They  were all troopers and they came out great. You can tell how much family means to them and  they were so glad they could all witness them get married!  Regina helped me with family formals and wedding party which was such a big help.

We ended the day with bride and groom portraits and let me tell you, they are AMAZING! You can just tell how much they love each other in each and every picture. Maria has the most beautiful smile which can make anyone happy! I cannot wait  to do it all over again next  year for their reception day! I am counting down the clock! Maria and Colin thank you for giving me the honor of documenting your wedding day <3
