After my wedding last week, I got to meet up with Chelsea and Atticus for their engagement session in Queens Village! This is the very first Queens Village, Philadelphia engagement session I’ve ever done, and since a lot of my college friends used to live in this area, I was already pre-ambled that we’d be strolling down some adorable cobblestone streets!
Chelsea and I have known each other since we were about 3 years old. So- to say I’m excited to be the one photographing their wedding and this love story would be an understatement. I love when things come full circle like this, and since we haven’t crossed paths in years, it was amazing catching up, and meeting Atticus!
Chelsea and Atticus met freshman year of college at Delaware – they were on the same floor and since they both loved being homebodies, they often hung out in the dorms together while everyone else went out to parties and such.
Their relationship morphed from friendship to dating somewhere in the college years, and afterwards, Atticus moved back to Miami, and Chelsea back to NYC while they did long distance for a while. Both unhappy with their current living situations, they decided it was time for them to be in the same city, and decided on Philadelphia (which Atticus was pretty excited about since he’s a huge Eagles fan!)
They went from dating to engaged in this new city of theirs when Atticus brought Chelsea to the Franklin Institute during the day and out to dinner that evening. Atticus proposed in the park across from the Franklin Institute on their way out!
Together, they enjoy snuggling with their pup during a night in, going to breweries and museums, and exploring the streets of their new home city. They’re getting married at Ridgeland Mansion in Philadelphia in October 2018, and I am so excited to see their wedding vision come to life, and be a part of this special and exciting day!
Chelsea- it was incredible getting to catch up with you after all these years, and Atticus, it was so great to finally meet you! I can’t wait for the celebration next year!
