Hi! I'm Laura!

I’m a wedding and brand photographer for creative and adventurous hearts and and your resident work-life balance aficionado. I’m so glad you’re here!
My favorite thing in life is sitting out by my fire-pit with a glass of Riesling and a s’more in hand with friends and family surrounding me. I'm rarely ever found without a warm blanket wrapped around me, and If my wallet didn't frown upon it, I’d probably buy everything in Anthropologie Home and Free People.

Gosh, I am lucking out with these beautiful October weddings like crazy! It’s the summeriest fall I can remember, and Dayra and Thomas’s wedding at FEAST at Round Hill was nothing short of amazing. It was a perfectly partially cloudy upper 60’s day, and when I arrived at the hotel, Dayra was surrounded by family, friends and her adorable flower girls!

Everything was right no schedule and I began with her gorgeous details, which included a truly unique and special ring box set from Bolivia, where Dayra’s family is from. Her gorgeous flowers by Corwin Florist in Warwick made a beautiful backdrop for her details and popped so beautifully against the bridesmaids dresses!

When hair and make up was done, everyone hopped in cars to head over to the venue where the girls and Dayra would all get dressed, as Dayra eagerly anticipated her first look with Thomas.

While the girls were getting primped and prepped, the guys were….. Wait for it…. Having a nerf gun fight! Dayra gifted ALL the groomsmen with a bag full of nerf guns and this was a huge hit all day long! And I got hit all day long. This wedding party was so much fun!

Dayra and Thomas met while she was training under him at Best Buy. While Dayra was super shy at first around him, she finally mustered up enough courage to talk to him and the rest is history! That was 8 years ago, and since that day, they have become the best of friends, and you can tell that there is such a strong comfort they feel around each other. He protects her, keeps her safe, holds her tight, is her best friend, and she his.

Once her mother and sister helped her into her dress, it was ready for her and Thomas to have their first look out in the field! The sun was shining and he was eagerly waiting for his bride.  She tapped him on the shoulder and it was beautiful.  They hugged and kissed and she twirled around to show off her beautiful gown.  I just don’t think I’ll ever get over being a witness to moments like this.

We went from their first look to take portraits around the gardens, until being greeted by the wedding party!  The girls were all decked out in gorgeous merlot gowns, and the guys in navy blue pants and grey vests. Everything popped so beautifully against the fall colors and flowers in their bouquets.  After wedding party and family formals were done, guests started arriving so Dayra and Thomas went to hang out inside while we waited for the ceremony to begin.

The ceremony was beautiful and so personal.  They were surrounded in the wedding party with all their siblings, who were all clearly so excited to not only be a part of the day, but to see these two get married.  Dayra and Thomas wrote and spoke their own vows, and everyone walked into the ceremony to Zelda’s Lullaby. (Where my Zelda fans at?) It was so peaceful as they shared their love under the giant old tree, no doubt, their love sharing the same deep roots as that tree does.

After the ceremony, we took a huge group shot of all the guests, and then they snuck off for a quiet moment before joining the cocktail hour.  Right before sunset, we took a few portraits in front of the house and I love how the house is just glowing! It’s so quaint and beautiful.

Shortly after this, it was time for the reception to begin and the dance floor started right away and never stopped. The toasts were amazing and so touching, the dance floor was hopping, the food was delicious and the love was contagious.

I’m so glad I got to be a part of it!!

Dayra and Thomas, thank you for being such amazing people to work with through this entire process. I’ve loved connecting with you and documenting your beautiful love story.  There is no doubt in my mind you’re in for a lifetime of love and so much happiness!
