Hi! I'm Laura!

I’m a wedding and brand photographer for creative and adventurous hearts and and your resident work-life balance aficionado. I’m so glad you’re here!
My favorite thing in life is sitting out by my fire-pit with a glass of Riesling and a s’more in hand with friends and family surrounding me. I'm rarely ever found without a warm blanket wrapped around me, and If my wallet didn't frown upon it, I’d probably buy everything in Anthropologie Home and Free People.

October has been so good to me and my incredible couples, and Brittany and Matt’s wedding at Season’s Catering and Holy Trinity Church in Westwood was no different. The entire day was perfectly flawless, and even by the time I got to the hotel room, the girls were already done with hair and make up (and looked AMAZING!) thanks to the incredible team at “I Do Your Hair and Make Up”.

Jen and I were greeted with so much happiness and eager anticipation from all the girls, and we got started with Brittany’s gorgeous details right away.  Everything looked beautiful against their plum bridesmaids dresses. I loveee fall colors at weddings!! And the florals from Louisa Testa were such a gorgeous compliment to pull everything together.

The girls were so relaxed and ready to go so there was plenty of time to hang out, relax, and pop some champagne.  Once it was time for Britt to get in her dress, her mom and sister stepped up to the plate to help her into her corset gown. The look was complete with her long flowing veil (I LOVE IT SO MUCH.)

We were doing a first look with her dad and Matt, so we went down to the hotel lobby to find her dad, and both of the burst into tears the instant they saw each other. Brittany had a beautiful handkerchief to give her dad, which was used (very) frequently throughout the day.  Once they had their sweet moment, he hugged her tight to send her off to her husband-to-be.

Brittany was hoping and praying that she’d get tears from Matt, and the second she tapped him on the shoulder and he turned around he covered his face in his hands and started to cry. He just kept saying over and over how beautiful she looked and she turned to me and said “YES I GOT TEARS!” Their friends and family were off in the distance cheering for this sweet moment, which was years and years in the making.

Brittany and Matt both went to highschool with me, they graduated a year ahead of me and I played softball with Britt all through high school.  While they were just friends in high school, a night out to dinner catching up during college changed everything.  When Matt confessed he always wanted to kiss her in high school, (and he had beefed up a bit from his 150 lbs soaking wet in high school) Britt noticed how cute he was! They spent the evening catching up and after realizing how much fun they had together, soon after started dating!

Three years and a million laughs later, on a trip down to Cape May, Matt asked Brittany to marry him and through tears, and gasping for breath, I’m not sure she quite ever said yes, but it was certainly implied! The video of that moment brings me to tears! And that brings us to their ceremony.

We went right from the first look to the church where they had a Catholic ceremony at Holy Trinity Cathedral in Hackensack. It was such a stunning cathedral!! After their I do’s, we went over to New Bridge Landing Park for all the family, wedding party, and bride and groom portraits. AND MY GOSH. The lighting was INCREDIBLE. Brittany and Matt are seriously so lucky! They had an incredible golden hour at their engagement session at Bear Mountain last October, and then they had a 70 degree day in October with a beautiful golden hour for their wedding day too. I MEAN THESE PORTRAITS?!?!! WHHHHHHAAAA?

From the Park, we went over to Seasons for their reception where they enjoyed an incredible cocktail hour followed by a kick-ass reception thanks to  DJ Express.  I don’t know if I’ve ever seen so many people on the dance floor! It was such an incredible day, and it was so exciting to be a part of it. I knew more than half the people there, since I went to high school with Brittany and Matt, and even got to see my high school photography teacher! It was a completely full circle moment for me. I had so much fun catching up with old friends, and Matt’s family. I got to photograph his sister, Allie’s wedding 2.5 years ago at West Point which was incredible and I can’t believe how quickly time has gone!!  All in all, I truly can’t believe what an incredible day it was. Every last detail was beautiful, and everything went off perfectly.

Britt and Matt, thank you for having me be a part of such an incredible celebration.  I hope you love these pictures as much as I do! I am so thankful that you have trusted me with these precious memories! I’m so extremely happy for you both and can’t wait to see what life has in store for your future. Cheers to the new Kleine’s!!!
