Hi! I'm Laura!

I’m a wedding and brand photographer for creative and adventurous hearts and and your resident work-life balance aficionado. I’m so glad you’re here!
My favorite thing in life is sitting out by my fire-pit with a glass of Riesling and a s’more in hand with friends and family surrounding me. I'm rarely ever found without a warm blanket wrapped around me, and If my wallet didn't frown upon it, I’d probably buy everything in Anthropologie Home and Free People.

Kiren and Micah’s fall engagement session at Bear Mountain is probbbably my favorite session out of the 4 we’ve done! If you’ve been following along, this is actually Kiren and Micah’s fourth engagement session! We did a session in every season and I am just so in love with this idea! Laura Lee Couples…take note! You can also tweak this idea to an annual anniversary session but do them in different seasons each year! I just love the variety we get and I know these pictures will be cherished forever.

Kiren and Micah’s winter engagement session was in my backyard in a tiny little patch of snow and their spring engagement session was at Willowwood Arboretum.  Their summer engagement session was at their wedding venue, Red Maple Vineyard, and this time, we opted for a fall foliage covered mountaintop at Bear Mountain! (Hello, my favorite place to shoot!)

We actually had to reschedule this fall engagement session 3 times. We originally had it scheduled for earlier in the month, based off of peak foliage last year but since it’s been so warm out, we drove up to Bear Mountain to find that NONE of the leaves had changed even the slightest! So we decided not to shoot since I felt like their fall engagement session should actually look like fall. Instead, we just had dinner together!

We then had it scheduled for about a week later on Monday and Monday was REALLY GLOOMY and cloudy. I LOVE shooting in clouds, but I also love Bear Mountain’s October sunsets, and since nearly all of their sessions were cloudy, I really wanted to get some golden hour in a session. So we crossed our fingers that Thursday would be better. And Thursday rolled around and the sun did not come out ALL DAY. Until… we got to the mountaintop. When we began the short hike, there was just a tiny  bit of glow, and by the time we got to the lookout point, the sun was BURSTING through the clouds giving us more than just a tiny glow, we were getting a full blown incredible sunset of orange and gold. Kiren started crying, they both started jumping up and down on a rock, and I was SO GIDDY with excitement. I can’t imagine a better way to end out 4 sessions together.

We were blessed with beautiful foliage, a gorgeous sunset, and incredible views. I’m so thankful everything came together for them!! We had a slight ridiculously insane windstorm towards the end that came out of nowhere, but all in all, this session was unbelievable!!!

The session was SO full of love laughter and smiles, like all their sessions are.  I am so so lucky and grateful to have such incredible couples!!! <3

Kiren and Micah, I cannot believe we have done four engagement sessions together and the next time we see each other will be at YOUR WEDDING.  I seriously cannot wait for your wedding at Red Maple Vineyard in June.  I have so much fun with you two every time and I am honored to document your beautiful love story. THANK YOU for giving me this honor.
