Hi! I'm Laura!

I’m a wedding and brand photographer for creative and adventurous hearts and and your resident work-life balance aficionado. I’m so glad you’re here!
My favorite thing in life is sitting out by my fire-pit with a glass of Riesling and a s’more in hand with friends and family surrounding me. I'm rarely ever found without a warm blanket wrapped around me, and If my wallet didn't frown upon it, I’d probably buy everything in Anthropologie Home and Free People.

Danielle and Aaron had a beautiful engagement session in the Pine Island region at two very special places in their lives. We started their session at the Black Dirt Farm near where Aaron grew up and then moved to the Pine Island Firehouse where Aaron is a volunteer firefighter. Both locations were absolutely perfect for these two – capturing their love for one another and life together in places that mean so much to them.

Danielle and Aaron met at a friends party a few years back. Danielle was walking down the stairs near where Aaron was standing and accidentally tripped. Luckily! Aaron was standing right there and caught her before she fell completely and hurt herself. After saving her from some scratches (or worse), Danielle insisted on finding out if Aaron was dating anyone. After confirming that Aaron was indeed single, they spent the rest of the night talking and getting to know each other. Soon afterward, they continued talking and started their relationship together.

On a vacation to Myrtle Beach to visit Aaron’s aunt, Aaron popped the question! While Danielle was retelling the story she was fighting back tears – it was so cute to see! While walking around and enjoying the sunny afternoon at an outdoor outlet mall, Aaron got down on one knee in front of a water feature and asked Danielle to marry him. And of course without question, she said yes!!

Because they both work long day and nights, Aaron and Danielle love to spend their time outside of work relaxing and simply enjoying the company of friends and family. They love to grill out, sit by the fire, and have fun with friends. Aaron also loves to play and watch Rugby!

For the first part of their shoot, we started at the Black Dirt Farm. The Pine Island region is known for its rich, jet black soil and onion fields (it’s really cool!). Aaron grew up with his close friends and his family on this farm. It was very clear that this was a special place for him to share with Danielle. I am so happy we were able to come back here and bring Aaron’s past life together with his current love and life with Danielle.

Another huge part of their relationship together is the Pine Island Firehouse – our second location during the shoot. They have both spent countless hours here and the firefighters who work here have become family to them. The firehouse is a very special place (and so clean!) – I just loved hearing about the tight knit bond they have with everyone here. And the photos – they are just amazing! The pristine firehouse made the perfect location for the second part of their engagement session!

It was amazing to finally get to meet these two together, in-person. Aaron and I actually met at the local deli in Vernon last October where I told him a little about what I do. I actually ended up writing down my email on a deli card and Aaron emailed me the following day!

Aaron and Danielle, I am so thrilled to be a part of your love story! Thank you for letting me into your life and showing me a few of the special places in your life! It was so special to be able to capture your love for one another here in a place that means so much to you. I cannot wait to celebrate with you two – the best is yet to come!!
