Holy cow I’m so excited to share this blog today because Meghan and Brett are oh so cute together!!! We got to do their engagement session in West Village, New York where they live which was suuuch a nice area to photograph in! We started their session on some cobblestone streets near their apartment which looked so charming, they then changed into more formal outfits and we headed down to the pier along the water! Photographing along the pier is always so amazing but there was a huge storm brewing over Hoboken while we were on the pier which made for some incredibly awesome skies!!! Meghan and Brett are SO cute together and so easy to work with – I can’t wait for their October wedding this year!
Meghan and Brett’s love story began their junior year at the College of William and Mary. Brett was on the baseball team and him and his teammates ended up moving into the house right next door to where Meghan was already living with some roommates! After meeting as new neighbors, their first date was at Buffalo Wild Wings. For sport lovers like Meghan and Brett BWW is the perfect first date spot! While there, Brett even ordered the Big Jack Daddy Burger!! This was probably the perfect first date to them as their favorite date nights include Italian food, wine and of course the Mets! Meghan and Brett love to eat, especially dinner at Malatesta in the West Village (right next to their apartment) of course followed by ice cream!
I absolutely love Meghan and Brett’s proposal story, it is so simple and romantic! It started out with Brett just asking Meghan to meet him and his coworkers for drinks that afternoon, normal enough right? Meghan had no idea what was coming!! Before going out for drinks Meghan was going to meet Brett in a nearby park before heading to the bar not far from their home in West Village. It was a beautiful summer day in June and the garden in the park was filled with gorgeous blooms! Once Meghan got to the park, they were walking through the garden when Brett popped the question! It was a beautiful night filled with celebration and looove!
Together they love just walking around the city and exploring their neighborhood! After their proposal and engagement session there, it holds such a special place in their hearts! Meghan and Brett also love going to Mets games in the summer and spending plenty of time with their families! When they’re not out enjoying the game or loving on their neighborhood scene, they love watching TV and movies – especially something they can binge watch! Brett and Meghan are such an adorable pair, their personalities and sense of humor fit so well together! Meghan loves how much Brett makes her laugh and even says, “Miraculously Brett thinks I’m funny too and puts up with my weirdo antics!” haha!
Brett loves that Meghan can get along and relate to anyone she meets! He knows she loves him for who he is and is always supportive in whatever he does, and is always challenging him to be a better person! THEY ARE SO CUTE. Brett loves Meghan to pieces and gushes about how she is the sweetest and kindest person he has ever met!! As a couple they fit together perfectly like puzzle pieces. They are both former athletes so they are both in amazing shape and love to run together! However, they are both also hombodies so Meghan and Brett both love a rainy day at home where they can relax on the couch and binge watch their current obsession!
Meghan and Brett, you two were seriously so much fun to work with and that makes me so so excited for your October wedding this year! I know it’s going to be nothing short of AMAZING!! Thank you for showing me around your neighborhood and inviting me up for a glass of wine after the session. I had so much fun getting to know you both more and can’t wait to continue doing so on your wedding day and beyond!! I know a lifetime of happiness and laughter is in your future! You’re both amazing!!
